Height and depth are shared across both sizes — only width changes, sized to sit comfortably over a standard UK King or Super King divan or bed frame. Heights are measured from the floor, since our headboards are free-standing. Get in touch if you need exact measurements before ordering.

Materials & Construction

Leather. Top-grain buffalo hide, aniline-dyed — the same hides used across the sofa range, so a headboard and sofa ordered together match in tone and grain.

Frame & panel. Kiln-dried hardwood frame with a deep-buttoned, hand-tufted leather panel — every button pulled and tied individually, every brass stud placed one at a time.

Fitting — free-standing, no fixings. The headboard stands on its own hardwood legs behind the bed, held in place by the bed itself. There is nothing to bolt to your wall and nothing to strap to your divan, which means no drilling, no damage to plaster, and no compatibility question about your bed frame: it works with divans, slatted frames and platform beds alike. Slide the bed back against it and it is fitted. It also moves with you, and lifts straight out when you want to redecorate.

The legs sit within the headboard's stated depth, so the figure in the Bed Size Guide is the total space it needs from the wall. Two people can position it comfortably.

Care & Maintenance

On arrival. Ships deliberately dry to protect the leather during its sea journey. Let it breathe for 24–48 hours after unpacking, then apply a quality leather conditioner.

Ongoing. Condition once or twice a year. Dust with a dry cloth; wipe spills promptly with a barely-damp one. Keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight. See Our Leather for the full care guide.
